When the rains
cool the ground,
What goes up
When the rain comes down?

I am a Soldier,
Gaurding my country.
I am a Sailor,
Gaurding ocean and sea.
I am a Pilot,
Protecting the blue sky.
"We love Bharath Mata!"
All the people cry.

The Sounds That I can Hear

Trucks, Vans and Buses rumble by,
Aeroplanes zoom across the sky,
P-e-e-e-p! P-e-e-e-p! goes the scooter-horn,
Birds chirp, screech, Cackle, in the morn.
These are the sounds,
That I can hear;
Some come from far,
Some come from near.

दिवाली आई

दिवाली आई, मस्ती सचाई,
धूम धड़का ,छोड़ा पटाखा ,
जली फुज्लिहदियाँ, दौड़ी सखियाँ ,
दीप जलाये, मन को भये,
जलेबी- लड्डू , खायेगा गुड्डू ,
मेला जायेंगे , मौज मनायेंग .

एक - दो - तीन -चार

एक - दो , चिड़ियाँ दो ,
तीन - चार , चली बाज़ार ,
पञ्च- छः , सब हो गए आठ,
नौ- दस , शौपिंग बस ,
दस - नव , चुदियाँ नौ,
आठ , सात , लाये सौगात,
छः- पञ्च , तोड़ी कांच,
चार- तीन , बोला रामदीन ,
दो- एक , "मुन्ना चंदा देख."
